Setting a Budget Before Browsing Knife Listings

I started with a firm spending limit, but browsing has turned it into a moving target. Every time I find something I like, another listing appears that is only a little more expensive. Several small increases later, I am considering an amount I would have rejected at the beginning. I still want a knife for my loadout, so abandoning the purchase entirely feels unnecessary. How would you organise the search so the budget remains real? I would like a method that lets me compare designs without constantly negotiating against the limit I set for myself.

Write the total limit somewhere outside the marketplace and include any costs shown before payment. Then create a shortlist containing only items that fit that amount. Keep the more expensive pictures in a separate folder if you want them for visual reference, but do not mix them into the buying decision. I would also set a specific time to review the shortlist instead of browsing whenever I have a spare minute. That gives you room to decide whether you actually want the item or whether repeated exposure has simply made the purchase feel more urgent than it is.
